Clean renewable energy generation, energy efficiency, heat delivery and innovative smart technologies are beneficial both to the community and the wider environment.
By reducing dependence on fossil fuels, we can secure a future clean energy supply, reduce bills, cut carbon, provide energy security and add protection from rising bills to reduce fuel poverty.
We can:
Identify feasible renewable energy projects and put the decarbonisation technologies to work in communities and organisations.
Make progress against the Government’s target to increase renewable energy generation, and promote community-owned and beneficial renewable schemes
Promote related skills training, rural growth with job creation and retention.
Enable communities to access the economic benefits and/or savings associated with renewable energy schemes.
Focus on new and emerging technologies and innovations to decarbonise electricity, heating and cooling.
